SafeContractor and Kingsbridge Insurance Partnership Rewards Investment in Contractor Standards and Compliance

SafeContractor, the UK’s largest SSIP-registered and UKAS-accredited provider of supply chain risk management, has today launched a new member benefit for approved contractors in its network.

Through a partnership with specialist business insurance provider Kingsbridge, eligible SafeContractor approved members can access preferential pricing across selected Kingsbridge business insurance products.

The new partnership has been introduced to support the approved contractors in SafeContractor’s network with an important part of their certification and approval status, ensuring they have the right insurance covers in place. By giving eligible members access to specialist support from Kingsbridge, the collaboration has been designed to make insurance easier for contractors to manage.

Its launch also responds directly to member feedback. In a recent SafeContractor survey, one in three respondents said insurance member benefits and discounts would be of interest. SafeContractor has therefore prioritised a benefit that supports contractors with a key part of their approval process, while providing a tangible cost-saving.

Tim Jackson, Divisional CEO at SafeContractor, said: “Our approved members put significant effort into demonstrating high standards of health and safety and compliance, including making sure the right insurance covers are in place. We wanted this partnership to deliver tangible value in return by supporting contractors with the insurance covers they need as part of their SafeContractor certification.

“Insurance can be a recurring cost for contractors, so we wanted to find a partner that understood their needs. Even during the pilot phase, some SafeContractor members have already made savings with Kingsbridge, showing the potential this partnership has for the contractors in our network.”

Andy Robinson, Managing Director at Kingsbridge, added: “We’re delighted to announce our partnership with SafeContractor following almost two years of work to understand its approval process, its members and the standards they demonstrate.

“SafeContractor approved members show a strong commitment to safety, compliance and effective risk management. Where applicable, recognising that within our approach to risk assessment helps ensure pricing more accurately reflects the individual business.”
